Mmmm, politics

Hmm, It seems to me that Samuel Alito isn't as bad as a Bush nominee could be. Compared to Miers, I don't think he's that horrid. From what I have found about him, he seems relatively fair. The only thing I have a problem with is ruling from the bench, otherwise, I don't really care about the judge's politics. Alito seems pretty fair to me. If you don't know about him, go to wikipedia and search, it's got a case history and bio on there. Hmm, I'll think of a better post later. ICA is too boring for me to think of a better post.

First off amen to your comment regarding ICA. Second, Bush was an utter idiot for nominating Alito. All personal views aside this was political suicide. Bush has lost the support of most of his own party he needed a slam dunk nomination. He instead nominated Meirs, which up until now I would have called his most stupid move of his presidency. That is until now. This nomination is not going to be pretty. Even the week of his nomination there was talk of a phillabuster and a republican response. This was 2 months before this nomination is even supposed to hit the congress floor. Alito is simply too conservitive. Not to mention that a female on the bench is trying to be replaced by a male. This nomination process will most likely be very ugly. Personnaly I hope to see Alito defeated.

The most stupid move of his presidency was being a stupid president.
